[1/7] Teachers' Day
Back TD Future!
Every year, we come together on Teacher's Day to express our heartfelt gratitude towards those our beloved tutors who not only teach us, but nurture us to become outstanding individuals. Led by the Students' Council, CCAs like the Strings Ensemble, Taekwondo, MAD Street etc. put up a concert while the teachers sit back and enjoy the show. Even the alumni are included; students, both past and present, presented their teachers with flowers and thank-you cards!
[2/7] Mid-Autumn Festival
明月照黄城,挚友喜相聚
Mid-Autumn Festival marks a joyous occasion of reunion where generations of alumni return to the campus to celebrate Hwa Chong's history and culture. Under the glow of the moon, stars and lanterns decorating the sky above the Central Plaza, the Hwa Chong family enjoyed an entertaining concert, paid a visit to the student-run street market and took part in SODACHE together!
[3/7] Senior Promenade
Lumiere
In 2017, the Students' Council organised Senior Promenade for the graduating batch at the Flower Field Hall in Gardens By The Bay. Decked out in their flowing dresses and crisp suits, the seniors basked in each other’s company and partied the night away. The night was filled with a tinge of nostalgia as the batch's journey in College came to a finale, but many more new memories were added to an unforgettable 2 years in Hwa Chong.
[4/7] College Open House
Mosaic
From the goodie bags you receive the moment you step into Hwa Chong, to the breathtaking Sky and Fountain, as well as the performances you see, Open House offers the public a glimpse of Hwa Chong life. This event has only one goal in mind - to bring a unique and real Hwa Chong experience to all visitors!
[5/7] Orientation
Enchanté
Orientation is an exciting and energising jumpstart to the C1’s JC journey. Spanning across 2 weeks, students are guaranteed a fun-filled orientation where they have numerous opportunities to make new friends. It will be the first time C1 students get a glimpse into Hwa Chong and its culture and fully experience the traditions passed down from batches of seniors such as Hwa Chong's own songs, dances and cheers, SODACHE.
[6/7] Chinese New Year
黄城盼春至,好事旺旺来
Chinese New Year is a time for us to embrace our roots and traditions. In this festive season, we come together as one Hwa Chong Family to celebrate the New Year with numerous decorations and exciting performances.
